Independent Study
The WBS MBA entails two independent study components, building a bridge between the classroom and the workplace. The two projects are:
1. The Leadership Quest:
The Leadership Quest is an ongoing, independent study component of the MBA with a focus on individual leadership development and capability. It requires the student to research the topic of effective leadership to determine the kind of leader they want to become.
2. Applied Research Project:
Students choose one out of four major projects:
- Social Entrepreneurship Project
- Consultancy Assignment
- Business Venture Proposal
- Research Report
Global Study Tour
The WBS MBA includes a compulsory Global Study Tour. Students have a choice of going on an international study tour or a regional study tour. The cost of the international study tour is approximately USD 5 500 and the regional study tour approximately R31 000.
