Admission Requirements

TSB MBA

The quality of our MBA candidates is of importance to us as it affects their progression, pass rate and the dynamics of the MBA cohort and peer learning. Candidates for our MBA programme are required to meet the following minimum requirements:
  • Have a qualification at NQF level 8, i.e. a 4-year Bachelor’s degree, an Honours Degree, a Postgraduate Diploma or an equivalent qualification
  • Have a minimum of 5 years work experience
  • Have an overall minimum of 4 out of 10 for the TTS test OR a minimum of 160 out of 360 for the NMAT psychometric test
We also provide access to our MBA programme through the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) process. In line with the requirements from the Council for Higher Education (CHE), we may admit up to 10% of our student body under the RPL. Candidates who wish to be admitted under the RPL policy are encouraged to contact our MBA office.

With regards to credits from other programmes, the Higher Education Qualification Committee (HEQC) allows accredited MBA programmes to only afford credits for MBA modules completed on another accredited MBA Programme. As an institution, we can only offer up to 50% of credits for modules done at another institution.

For candidates who do not have a qualification at NQF level 8, we offer a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration (PDBA) which provides a direct path to our MBA programme. To be eligible to gain entry into the MBA programme, PDBA students need to successfully complete the programme within the minimum time of one year. Visit our website to find out more about the PDBA programme.
