Following the successful launch of its innovative Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme, Boston City Campus announces significant developments that further cement its position as a leading provider of advanced management education in Africa.
The Boston City Campus MBA recently attained candidacy status with the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), USA, which represents a significant milestone in Boston’s commitment to international academic excellence. The ACBSP, founded in 1988, is a CHEA-recognised global accrediting body dedicated to advancing excellence in business education across all levels of higher education programmes.
The MBA programme is now on track to join other Boston qualifications which are fully accredited by the ACBSP, namely, the Bachelor of Commerce in Management Marketing, Bachelor of Commerce in Human Resource Management, Bachelor of Accounting, and Postgraduate Diploma in Management.
This comprehensive accreditation process emphasises teaching excellence, student learning outcomes, and continuous improvement, ensuring Boston’s graduates are prepared for both local and global business environments. Included within this accreditation is the Peregrine Global Services Assessments for international benchmarking. Recent results demonstrate Boston’s exceptional performance against international standards. The institution consistently outperforms ACBSP international averages across multiple programmes, with particularly strong results in Global Dimensions of Business (24.77% above average), Business Finance (14.07% above average), and Management: Organisational Behaviour (11.12% above average).
“These benchmarking results validate our approach to world-class education,” says Professor Cobus Oosthuizen, Dean of Postgraduate Studies. “The integration of Peregrine Assessments provides our students with internationally recognised benchmarks while offering them valuable insights for their professional development journeys.” World-class faculty driving educational excellence
The programme’s pioneer cohort benefits from an extraordinary assembly of faculty members whose expertise spans the full spectrum of modern business leadership. This distinguished team combines cutting-edge academic research with extensive industry experience, creating a uniquely powerful learning environment.

The MBA programme is also featured on the MBA.co.za portal and will participate in annual MBA fairs, providing increased visibility and networking opportunities for students.
The institution’s growing influence in the business education sector is further evidenced by its upcoming inclusion in the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) quarterly magazine, highlighting its impact on South Africa’s business landscape. Flexible pathways to advanced education
Understanding the diverse needs of aspiring business leaders, Boston City Campus offers multiple pathways to advanced management education. For professionals who don’t immediately meet MBA admission requirements, the institution’s Postgraduate Diploma in Management serves as an excellent stepping stone.
“The Postgraduate Diploma in Management is more than just an alternative entry route to our MBA,” explains Dr Jane Usher, Programme Coordinator. “It’s a valuable qualification in its own right, offering immediate career benefits while preparing graduates for future MBA studies and the strategic-executive level.”
