REGENT Business School (RBS) is a registered Private Higher Education Institution. RBS’s programmes are recorded by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF). RBS is currently registered, in compliance with the Higher Education Act 101 of 1997, (Registration number No 2000/HE07/012) by the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) to offer its range of programmes. In 2002 RBS received accreditation for its programmes from the Higher Education Quality Committee (HEQC), which is the quality assurance committee of the Council on Higher Education (CHE). An International Business School RBS has been awarded the prestigious TWO PALME award since 2008 by the EDUNIVERSAL INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC committee. This award acknowledges the quality of RBS’s programme as well as its international influence in the delivery of its learning programmes. In its efforts to reign amongst the best, and to further strengthen its African roots, RBS has recently acquired pipeline membership with the Association of African Business Schools (AABS). RBS has also entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the Shanghai University of International Business and Economics (SUIBE), Shanghai, Peoples Republic of China to collaborate on areas relating to research, staff and student exchange programme, study tours and academic development.
