USB offers relief on certain programmes

In the wake of the current COVID-19 pandemic, business education is now, more than ever, vital for individuals and organisations to cope with financial and economic challenges posed by the coronavirus and contribute towards entrepreneurial opportunities created by the post-COVID world.

For this reason, the University of Stellenbosch Business School (USB) has decided to offer relief on selected postgraduate programmes’ fees for students enrolling for 2021 and onwards to contribute to the economic recovery of the South African and African economy.

The programmes implicated are the postgraduate diplomas in Business Management and Administration (PGDip BMA), Futures Studies, and Leadership Development. These programmes were specifically selected due to their accessibility to a broader market and where the biggest impact can be made.

“As a school steeped in responsible leadership, we carry a duty to respond to the impact of the pandemic of 2020. We do believe that many South Africans hope to upskill and reskill themselves in 2021, and we would like to respond to the need in a responsible way,” says Dr Jako Volschenk, head of USB’s MBA programmes.

All programmes offered by the USB will be presented via its immersive Blended Learning delivery from next year.

“We anticipate slightly lower costs due to a shift towards the Blended Learning delivery, and we feel we are able to pass on the saving to our students. In addition, this format also provides lower opportunity cost to students with less travel and accommodation expenses. We remain committed to providing access to a world-class business school,” he says.
